Milbank meter sockets can be installed in commercial and industrial facilities with current requirements of 100 through 320 amps for self-contained meters, 480 amps for bolt-on meters, and higher amperage ratings using current transformer rated sockets and enclosures.

• All meter sockets are rated NEMA 3R for weather protection.
• Standard utility grade meter sockets are manufactured from 16 gauge AISI G90 galvanized steel with a baked gray powder polyester paint finish to improve corrosion resistance.
• Many standard designs are available in all aluminum enclosures with bare metal or baked gray powder polyester paint finish.
• Standard designs include 4, 5, and 7 terminal meter sockets. Current transformer rated (CT Metering) meter sockets rated at 20 amps include 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13 and 15 terminal designs. Plunger type bypass and heavy duty lever bypass sockets are available, as well as units designed with test switch provisions.
• Test switches are available in over 500 configurations based on 4, 7, or 10 pole base models.
• 100, 125, 150, 200, and 320 amp (single & three phase) sockets are available for plug-in self-contained meters.
• 480 amp (single & three phase) sockets are available for bolt-on self-contained meters.
• Current requirements above 480 amps require the use of current transformers that can be housed in Milbank CT cabinets or in Transocket cabinets.
• CT cabinets are available in standard designs from 100 amps through 3000 amps.
• CT cabinets may be equipped with wood or steel back panels for mounting window type current transformers, or CT racks for mounting bar type current transformers.
• Transockets are available from 400 amp service through 3000 amp service in various designs that may include the meter socket attached to the mounting enclosure, with current transformers and potential transformers installed when required.
• Individual socket designs are available for overhead service, underground service, or combination units that can be used for either overhead or underground applications.
• Many low amperage CT meter sockets are in stock and ready for shipment throughout the country. Other standard designs are available as special order.
• Factory pre-wiring is available for CT rated sockets and transockets with test switches. Contact our factory for further information.
